Somebody Else’s Nose

I think I heard the expression first in middle school, “You can pick your nose, but you can’t pick anyone else’s.” So simplistic, so true, I imagined if I reached over the seat in the yellow school bus as it bumped down the afternoon route and just yanked a booger from the kid that sat behind me in 3rd period Math.

Much of being an adult is realizing you can’t make other people’s decisions, but the worst part is you’re still supposed to support them No Matter What. Though I understand that's the mature thing to do, it feels disingenuous.
